A night full of action - 11th June
It was a night of action and scintillations at WWE Superstars. It was 11th of June, 2009 and four very best, most tough Superstars found themselves facing each other in the battle field; ring. There were two matches; one was between Chris Jericho, our new Intercontinental Champion (9 times) and John Morrison, the sage of sexy. Other one was between Zack Ryder and Evan Bourne.
Jericho has been on a tirade these days. Just few days back at Extreme Rules, he won the Intercontinental Championship for the 11th time in his career by overcoming Rey Mysterio and unmasking him, leaving him in a thwarting situation. Just continuing his winning streak, he defeated John Morrison and gave another testimony of why he is the star of the show.
Although it was not quite easy for Jericho to overpower Morrison, but he still managed to leave the ring as a champ. It appeared as the Delight of The Friday Night was at his best. He gave Jericho a tough match, giving Jericho’s every move an offset. But in the end, it didn’t prove to be his day. It is a hard reality of every game; it doesn’t matter who played well, what matters is who won the game. Same is with John Morrison, though Jericho too fought well but after it seemed to be a good game for Morrison, a straight miscalculation and a bit of tights cost him the match.
Now going for the other breath taking feud of that night. It was a match which brought two of the brightest and youngest Superstars of ECW face to face. No body knew what could happen in that match.
Zack Ryder not wasting any time tried to take control over the game by attacking his ribs earlier damaged by the strongest man on earth, Mark Henry. But he is not the one who can stay down for long. He ceased his attack and went for him. After some time, Ryder got some momentum and fate accompanied him. He got Ryder in an appropriate position and he planned for a maneuver but he wasn’t that much fateful. That decision of him proved to be lethal for him as Bourne threw Ryder down to the floor on his back. After that Bourne treated him with his Shooting Star Press accomplished his goal by pinning him down.
