Christian Betrayed before SummerSlam
Last night at ECW proved to be night of biggest betrayal Christian ever got in his whole WWE career. That was the tag team match against his SummerSlam opponent William regal and his tag team partner Kozlov. He was looking pretty relaxed about that match as he had his longtime friend The ECW Original Tommy Dreamer as his tag team partner for that match. He looked very confident and was really looking forward to hook the horns before facing him at SummerSlam.
But all was spoiled when Regal and Kozlov attacked Dreamer backstage and made him unfit for the match, thus forcing Christian to look for another partner with Dreamer injured.
Though he got a new partner and he managed to get a good one in the form of the powerhouse Superstar Ezekiel Jackson. So getting another strong Superstar on his side after loosing one such, he felt confident again and looked forward towards the match.
But he was unaware of what was to follow his decision of choosing Jackson as a replacement for his loyal friend Dreamer. Where as Dreamer was his close and a long term faithful friend, Jackson proved out to be just opposite of him and betrayed him. The whole WWE Universe got stunned at that scene of betrayal. Christian went to the ring hoping confident about the match result with Jackson on his side and was happy as Regal’s plan of reducing his strength by attacking his partner failed. But he was very wrong indeed and came to know about Regal’s plan’s success when his own partner instead going after Regal and Kozlov, attacked him.
After than, it was no more a tag team match and rather took the form of a handicapped 3-on-1 match with Christian all alone against William Regal, Kozlov and to his very shock Jackson. Not only Regal and Kozlov went after him, he suffered brutal assaults from his so called tag team partner Ezekiel Jackson as well. After than, it looked rather in the books what result would follow. William Regal pinned Christian down with the help of Christian’s tag team partner’s help only and won the match.
Now, the point to think about is how much effect this betrayal is going to have on Christian with SummerSlam inching very close now.
