Clash before The Bash
With The Bash just a few hours away, it was a quite a hard hitting action night with umpteen Superstars clashing against each other. This Friday night was special for SmackDown as WWE Chairman paid a visit there. He put the GM Theodore Long under pressure to deliver him and WWE fans an action full and a wonderful night and also demanded the same for The Bash and told him that the success of Friday night and The Bash will lead to his success which other wise can be lethal for his job.
It was a night of clashes before The Bash. Superstars had a clash just before they collide again at The Bash. First one was a tag team match between ‘Edge and Chris Jericho’ and ‘Hardy and Mysterio’ and The Rated-R Superstar’s team made it when he avoided Hardy’s Twist of Fate and hit him with a stunning spear.
Special about that match was the guest appearance of World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. He was there as a referee and was pleased to declare the result as he got a chance to taunt Hardy whom he is going to clash at The Bash and will be defending his title against. He praised Hardy for his nice effort but all that was in a sarcastic way and every one knew that.
Other one of the exciting match was between R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin. It had action and verbal assaults as well. First R-Truth took over the match with an aggressive start after Shelton’s verbal assault but later on was put on defense by Shelton. But in the end, it was R-Truth who ended up on the winning side after he hit him with his Lie Detector.
That night also showed four of the sexy, smart and powerful Divas up against each other in a tag team match. On one side there were Women’s Champion Melina and her partner Gail Kim, and on the other side Alica Fox and Michelle McCool against whom Melina is going to defend her title at The Bash. McCool made it as their strategy of keeping Gail out for most of the time worked well and gave Melina a warning to get ready for The Bash.
Last match was between CM Punk and John Morrison and Morrison stunned the World Heavyweight Champion with a victory over him. Punk wasn’t able to take it and defied him for a nice ‘Go to Sleep’ when he offered him a handshake at the end to congratulate him.
Well, we all can imagine how much exciting The Bash is going to be.
