Mysterio and Jericho Face to Face Again
Every one must be aware of the prevailing rivalry between Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio. No one must have forgotten that match between Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental Championship at Extreme Rules. It was the title which was very dear to both the Superstars and still is. In that match, Mysterio defended his title but Jericho not only stripped him off his prestigious title but also his mask, embarrassing him in front of his fans.
This rivalry didn’t begin from that match but has its roots lying way before. Their rivalry got intensified when Jericho lost to Rey Mysterio at the Judgment Day and reached a level where chair throwing and breaking in to the ring seemed to be of less aggression comparatively. We all know what happened at Extreme Rules and that didn’t cease this rivalry but made it more callous.
At The Bash on 28th of June, these Superstars will go after each other and their dearest title again with only difference of Jericho being the defender of this title this time. It is going to be their third collision with in a time of two months and gives a measure of acceleration their rivalry has got. Last time Mysterio failed to defend his title but this time he is going to take that match more seriously as it the very title he has always cherished for. But to Jericho too, this title is no less than anything at present, having won that title for nine times in his career and he too is going to make every possible move to defend it against its previous holder.
When the feeling of animosity is at large, mind games and slanging matches becomes most common. Jericho has always taunted and framed him as a coward; lurking behind his mask. But for Mysterio, his mask has become a matter of personal as well as professional pride and his identity and this fact is not hidden from any body and hence Jericho. He has always endeavored to exploit his pride; his mask. Last time he stripped his mask off his face and this time, his mask is again in danger as Jericho threatens him to reveal his identity permanently. Let us see what happens at The Bash when these foes collide again.
