Tommy Dreamer Still Living His Dreams
It has been quite a series of rough and soothing time for Dreamer in past few weeks. Though he had a rough time in past as he is the one who has consistently been trying to accomplish his dearest dream: to be the ECW Champion.
He never left hopes and kept on moving what ever happens. In 2000, he got his most cherished title but was unlucky and wasn’t able to live that ‘dream came true’ even for one day. He lost that title the very evening and again began his struggle to live his dream again.
At Extreme Rules, he got another chance to get hold of the ECW title and he jumped on that golden opportunity and grabbed it, he won the ECW Championship. But since then, umpteen Superstars have been eyeing at his prestigious title and many times went after him. In a title match against Jack Swagger, he almost lost his gold but thanks to Christian who interfered and that match resulted in The ECW Original retaining his title. Besides Jack Swagger and Christian, Finlay and Mark Henry too are eyeing the ECW title.
So he has never been relieved of the tension. At The Bash, he had to defend his title against the four named above in a Scramble match and even to make the conditions worse for Dreamer were the tough stipulations of that match. It was just the fourth such match in WWE history.
It has a time limit of twenty minutes and begins with two randomly chosen competitors, followed by a challenger every three minutes. One particular stipulation didn’t favor Dreamer and because of that, he had .8 probability of loosing that game and hence his dear title.
But this time Dreamer came with full determination for retaining his title. The match began with both former ECW Champions Jacks Swagger and Christian followed by Finlay, Dreamer and finally Mark Henry. Jack Swagger was first to score a pinfall, followed by Finlay.
Then Dreamer pinned Christian. It was Dreamer who had maximum to loose and with time ticking and getting close to end, each one of then struggled to get a pinfall but in the end, it was Tommy Dreamer who came out as a winner and as The ECW Champion too. So after so many attempts by others to grab his title, Dreamer is still living his Dream.
