Young Budding Superstar Just Missed the Gold
It was the Night of Champions and like all other titles at stake, Mysterio too had to put his title on line and one ahead of all for it was young SmackDown Superstar Dolph Ziggler. He is the one who has shown such a rapid progress in his WWE career since he was drafted to SmackDown by Donald Trump.
After coming to the SmackDown, he has not only proved himself but in style. If you are a consistent viewer of SmackDown, then you can have the exact view of the way and with the rapidness Ziggler has shown progress.
He is the one who has defeated the Punjabi Giant The Great Khali not once, not twice but for three times in a row. In his first two matches, he showed his intellects and overcame Khali in both the matches by disqualifying him.
But third one was the tough one; a No-Disqualification No Count-Out match at The Bash but there also, he shifted the mountains. He has not only shown progress but a consistent one. Just two days before the real test, Ziggler defeated the veteran Superstar Finlay and the same night, he assaulted Mysterio whom he was to face just two days later at the Night of Champions.
As Jericho was short of a tag team partner after Edge got injured, he opted for this rising Superstar to fill that seat. Jericho along with Ziggler went after Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio in a tag team match and came out victorious.
On the other hand, Rey Mysterio has been on the top of his career with having his dearest title back on his waist. Jericho challenged him not only to strip him off his Intercontinental Championshp title but also to reveal his identity permanently. But Mysterio took the challenge and showed Jericho the material he is made of. He has shown the whole WWE Universe and Jericho in special that he is a born Champion.
As Mysterio has been on top these days, Ziggler made him his pray. He assaulted him after his match against Jericho and that resulted in what he wanted. Mysterio challenged him at Night of Champions for a title match and provided him with his first ever opportunity to grab gold in the very beginning of his career. Although he lost to the high flying Superstar Mysterio, but he was very close to the gold.
This is his beginning only, though he was not able to match with Mysterio’s experience and talent but he is new and has a lot more to learn. We all expect a great Superstar out of him.
